BirdDog™ Information Systems is pleased to announce the release of Version 4.0 of Remote Data Retrieval. This newest system, to which you automatically have access when you log into our host site, provides enhanced features that are certain to make you even more productive... such as a more streamlined and intuitive user interface, the ability for end-users to perform ad hoc changes to alarm settings, and layered administration. With layered administration, end-user organizations can assign BirdDog client administrators who, in turn, will be able to add/delete other enterprise users, set each user's rights (from read-only through full editing, including use of Demand Polling), reset user passwords, add/delete Morning Report recipients, and much more. In addition to the BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system functional enhancements, we've also deployed new security provisions to further complement our previously implemented use of an HTTPS website to provide full SSL encryption of your sensitive and proprietary information. These enhancements include the use of unique email addresses as User IDs, as well as stronger Password requirements with history restrictions and forced routine changes. As before, with just a single account User ID and Password, your log-in will provide direct access to all BirdDog SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) systems to which you have end-user rights. And as you add or remove systems from your user profile, the single sign-on process will automatically recognize those changes. |

Security Policy Change Alert - For the enhanced security of BirdDog™ Information Systems users, effective November 11, 2013, User IDs will be unique email addresses and account password requirements will be strengthened. New passwords will need to be at least 8 characters in length and contain at least one each of the following characters: uppercase alphabetical; lowercase alphabetical; numeric; and “special” (such as @, &, _, #, etc.). At the appropriate time, you will be prompted during your BirdDog log-in to click on a webpage link that will provide more details and guide you through your password change process. |

• Secure Internet-based access to electronic gas measurement and field data from flow computers and other measurement devices, presented through an informative, highly intuitive, and very user-friendly web interface. • Comprehensive alarm functions to alert key staff members on upset conditions, flow rate changes, or potential system outages. • Data access restrictions to enable users to view only certain information or installations, and for secure sharing with trading partners, other interest owners, and entitled third-parties. • Critical data collection and archiving for downstream data management, auditing, and disaster recovery. Using the BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system requires no training and Coastal Flow provides all the support you'll need, from initial installation to all routine maintenance. Since this BirdDog system is fully compatible with your existing equipment, your capital investment is preserved without the need to purchase software or sign a long-term contract. And as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), web-based system, there's never any software to install or maintain. An Internet connection and one of the leading browsers is all you'll need to access your data…anytime, anywhere. Web-Based Flow & Well Data Reporting The BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system allows scheduling of routine data polling as well as automatic updates to reports and graphs for subsequent viewing and analysis. Data is collected and logged according to AGA 14.3 and stored in an API Chapter 21.1 compliant format, essential for downstream review, recalculation, volume reporting, and auditing. Users of the BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system can view their data in customized page layouts. Data collected can be formatted to present your information in the manner that's most efficient, productive, and meaningful for your organization. Advanced security features permit data to be selectively viewed according to the end-user, specific parameters, and installation, which also permits the sharing of data with entitled third-parties. BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system reporting includes current flow data for individual meter stations or entire systems, hourly and daily volumes, alarm logs, and other vital data stored in your measurement devices. An advanced graphing function provides a powerful way to visualize and better evaluate flow rates as well as other variables, reports can be printed or downloaded into a standard spreadsheet format, and historical trending is available. A Demand Poll option allows users to initiate ad hoc polling directly from their Internet-connected browsers to update measurement data at any time. A daily Morning Report feature is also available to provide users with flowing parameters, prior day and current production data, and rates for each measurement device. Online Reports & Data Views Current Flow Data Reports – current flow rate, differential pressure, flowing pressure, flowing temperature, prior day's volume, accumulated volume, and battery voltage, displayed for each device in a station summary; multiple devices can be grouped into systems with an available system summary report. Hourly Volume Reports – hourly logs of differential pressure, pressure, temperature, volume, and accumulated volume in tabular as well as graphical formats. Daily Volume Reports – daily logs of differential pressure, pressure, temperature, volume, and accumulated volume in tabular as well as graphical formats. Data Archives – daily logs of differential pressure, pressure, temperature, volume, accumulated volume, and well data in tabular as well as graphical formats, plus monthly totals for all prior collected months. Station Event Logs – a history of events providing date, time, event type, condition, and status. Well Data – contained within the Hourly and Daily Volume Reports, as well as Data Archives, this includes peripheral equipment and conditions, such as liquid turbine meters, compressors, tank levels, and wellhead pressures, which are monitored and displayed. Decline Curve Reports – graphical displays of historical trends for all flowing parameters across user-defined locations and date ranges. Data Graphical Views – hourly and daily volume data, as well as archived data, may be viewed graphically; users have the ability to zoom in for closer review of the data and then easily return to the default view. Alarms/Alerts on Exception The BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system detects alarm conditions and automatically alerts customer contacts in the event of an emergency condition or out-of-range flow rate change. Alarm notifications may be sent as text messages to cell phones or directly to e-mail accounts. Peripheral equipment and conditions, such as for liquid turbine meters, compressors, tank levels, and wellhead pressures, may also be monitored and configured for alarms. The system's alarm/alert features are invaluable since they can effectively help to reduce downtime and increase profitability. Two methods are available to deliver alarms: The BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval system can routinely scan collected data for user-defined upset conditions, then sends out alarm messages whenever detected. And for critical equipment and conditions which warrant an immediate notification, a satellite-based alarming option is available. A complement to system alarms and alerts, the Hi-Lo Warnings functionality allows highlighted alerts to be set for the Summary data table to indicate out-of-range conditions. This provides a great first-level alert on important changes in your data. Notes can also be left for others in the Daily Volume view. By clicking on the Notes icon in the table, free-form text may be entered; instantly, the note icon changes color and becomes available for other users to view and, optionally, for appending their own messages. BirdDog, the Internet, and You The BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval System leverages cutting-edge communications technologies, advanced database management, and the breadth of the Internet to provide you with a powerful yet simple means for collecting, analyzing, and viewing widely varied data elements from your remote facilities. With easy browser-based access and critical alarm/alert notifications, you'll find this BirdDog system to be an important productivity tool that can readily add to your bottom-line.
